In this hands-on, interactive, and potentially messy session, Kit Lang unveils new ways to integrate art into the classroom. From experimenting with new mediums to learning how to provide meaningful art activities as daily work choices, participants will leave this session with ideas that can be implemented into the classroom immediately. When art is an integral part of the student’s learning experience, it can transcend barriers that would ordinarily prevent children of different backgrounds from communicating. The art activities are developmentally appropriate for 6-9 aged students but the concepts can be adapted for both 3-6 and 9-12 so all are welcome. Come with an open mind and creative spirit!
